Good Days

We have been enjoying some good day's in the Kennington Family lately. Mom has found her strength increase each day as she has completed chemotherapy. She has gone back to working as a Behavioral Aid at the Junior High for about 3-4 hours a day and is enjoying having that back in her life. She's driving again and just feeling more like herself in general. She met with her Radiation Doctor, Dr. Poppe, this past Monday and they decided to do another PET scan before they proceed with Radiation. She was marked with some tiny tattoo's for the Radiation and I joke with her that she has some sweet "tat's" now, something far outside of what Mom would do in life :) She's very nervous about beginning Radiation. Chemo was so so hard on her physically and emotionally and she is worried that this could be just as bad. Still, she is facing this with the same courage she did with chemo and doing her best to be optimistic as she moves forward. She has a PET scan scheduled for this Friday and then she'll follow up with Dr. Poppe next Monday.

Dad is still working at Home Depot but he has found another job as well. He started this last Monday with a company called Progressive and he's in the training phase for that job. I don't know too much about the job except that it's a good company and it's a sit down job. I think it could be an adjustment because it's a different field then he is used to, but it's still in the sales industry and he's great with sales. I'm really really hopeful the people at Progressive will treat him well and he will enjoy working with them.
